Meet our 2008 Best In Show entry Haywood Poochfield! Inspired by the mid-century modern master furniture maker Haywood Wakefield’s Stepped End-table, we at NAKA Designs, LLC incorporated our pooch to create an updated interpretation of the table. Not only is this piece functional, but also fabulous to look at!
For those of you unfamiliar with the Best In Show Event, this is the gala involving businesses and individuals who decorate an Eero Aarnio puppy for display in the showroom. Then, in a night of fast paced auctioneering, the pups are bid on and return to new homes! All proceeds are donated to the Denver Animal Care Foundation which provides low cost veterinary services to those who would otherwise be unable to afford it.

this is a great photo of a great pooch don’t dispare that the crowd that night did not get the idea - great work still requires an idea and most of the “public” will be oblivious to the thought behind the art - please keep us all trying - you are our inspiration
